While on the road, you should protect yourself! This are the insurance policies that will cover you and your injuries! #shorts
You have to understand there’s no such thing as full coverage insurance. Full coverage by definition means you’re fully covered no matter what. Well, that only applies to your car, not to your injuries.
So if you’re involved in an accident and let’s say the accident is your fault, you’re not going to have your injuries covered by your insurance, unless you have medical payments coverage, or personal injury protection. So your car will get covered but typically if you have a 20, 30, 40, $50,000 car, it’s nowhere near the amount of your personal injuries, if you break an arm or if you have a permanent disabling back injury, which can potentially be worth millions.
There is liability. That’s the minimum in Georgia, which is 25,000 per person and 50,000 per accident. That kind of coverage only protects you when the accident is your fault and you’re protecting the other person. But if you want to protect yourself, I always recommend getting uninsured motorist coverage. Uninsured motorist coverage is exactly what it sounds like. Someone hits you. They’re not insured. Even though it’s their fault, your insurance will still protect you for your injuries and for your car.
If you get into a car accident, do this first:
1. Call the police
2. Take pictures and videos of the accident scene
3. Go to a doctor
4. Call a personal injury lawyer
